With travel plans abroad brought to a halt, it is an ideal time to explore parts of Ireland that you may have not seen before. Connemara National Park & Visitor Centre- This beautiful park has no entry fee and is open year round. It has stunning views, long walkways and wildlife all over the grounds. There is a Visitor Centre on site that can help you with any queries you may have. There are plenty of things to do within the park, so why not get out into that fresh Irish air and experience the beauty of Connemara.
Eyre Square- Right in the heart of Galway City, John F. Kennedy Memorial Park (Eyre Square) is a perfect place to have a relaxing sit down after a day of shopping. It was re-named after Mr. Kennedy after he made a speech at the location during his visit to Ireland in 1963. It is right in the middle of Galway’s shopping district, and has a spacious garden area where people can relax with a coffee or ice cream. Beautiful place to spend some time on a warm day.
Galway’s Latin Quarter- Another location situated in the centre of the city, Galway’s Latin Quarter is full of history and is always buzzing. It is full of colour, pubs and restaurants, and is loved by locals and tourists alike.
Galway Bay- The Latin Quarter then brings you to the famous Galway Bay. A magnificent walkway that leads all the way to Salthill, there are a number of places along the way to sit down for food and a drink. Experience the calmness of the water on a warm sunny evening, or if you are more adventurous, why not do the walk on a wet and windy day and see the Wild Atlantic Way in full swing.
